Deputies from the DeSoto County Sheriff’s Department, undercover and uniformed, and officers from Southaven Police and Fire departments monitor the fairgrounds 24/7, both on-site and the surrounding areas. At any given time during fair hours, we have more than two dozen officers walking in and around the property. We also have private security and EMS services to patrol in addition to our already established Landers Center security team. The Mid-South Fair is equipped with the latest security technology, such as aerial-view cameras and a state-of-the-art intercom system, too. Attendees are required to go through metal detectors and to adhere to our clear bag policy. All bags are checked before entry is granted.

Professional cameras and photography equipment may be permitted inside the Mid-South Fair with prior management approval. Yes, Landers Center and its grounds where the Mid-South Fair is held are smoke-free. Vape pens, cigarettes, cigars, lighters, tobacco and matches are prohibited.
We go to great lengths to create an environment where everyone can be comfortable, have fun and stay safe. One of the many ways we do that is by enforcing a dress code that eliminates clothing and accessories that could be a threat to security. Prohibited items include but are not limited to: hoodies (hood must be down), masks, chain straps on clear bags, clothing display obscenities and clothing that reveals undergarments.

There is a first-aid center ready to assist guests as needed Monday-Friday. When attendance increases Saturday-Sunday, there are two centers. Emergency response vehicles are on-site over the weekend, as well.
Yes, tickets purchased online can be used any day throughout the Fair’s run.
Admission tickets grant you entrance into the Fair and to concerts held on the grounds throughout the Fair’s run. Ride tickets and wristbands are sold separately and can be purchased at the Fair. They are not sold online.

For the protection of you and all other guests, the following items are not permitted in Mid-South Fair and Landers Center and cannot be stored by Mid-South Fair and Landers Center personnel:
- Containers, bottles, cans, liquid containers or coolers (Empty, reusable water bottles are allowed. Please no disposable plastic bottles.)
- Food
- Lawn chairs/personal portable seating of any kind
- Backpacks (Medically necessary items, including diaper bags, are allowed after proper inspection)
- Umbrellas with long or pointed tips are prohibited. Small, compact umbrellas no longer than the length of your forearm are permitted.Umbrellas are at the discretion of Landers Center Management
- Any sharp or potentially dangerous items
- Metal or chain straps
- Weapons and fireworks
- Poles/Sticks of any kind
- Objects that obstruct another patron’s view
- Horns, whistles, noisemakers
- Animals (except service animals for guests with disabilities)
